Garment Technologist Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Garment Technologist to join our team at Manière De Voir. The ideal candidate will possess a wealth of knowledge in garment production, testing, and quality control.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure high-quality and functional products through technical expertise in garment production.
  • Manage key performance indicators (KPIs) such as reduced defect rate, increased first-time pass rate, production efficiency, compliance rate, and reduced returns rate.
  • Oversee the end-to-end quality control process, including fabric testing, audits, and safety standards management.
  • Deliver creative solutions to support long-term compliance with manufacturers.
  • Liaise with manufacturers to ensure cohesive process control throughout production.
  • Manage in-house fit sessions and proactively prevent technical issues.
  • Ensure accuracy, speed, and compliance in sampling processes.
  • Provide technical guidance to designers, buyers, and suppliers on new product development and garment construction.
  • Manage grading and tolerance rules.
  • Analyze returns and faults to implement solutions and reduce them.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar role, including multi-product experience.
  • Exceptional understanding of garment construction, quality control, and fabric technology/testing.
  • Experience working directly with manufacturers.
  • A positive attitude towards challenges and implementing solutions.
  • Strong time-management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Confident use of Outlook and Excel.
