About the Role:

The Ladders is seeking a Head of Strategic Initiatives to spearhead the formulation and execution of our enterprise program design and delivery strategy. This role will be pivotal in leveraging extensive operational knowledge to guide the creation and enhancement of programs, projects, and services. The successful candidate will provide leadership in evaluating and continuously improving initiatives, ensuring they deliver substantial value to our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the ongoing development and implementation of best practices within the Strategic Initiatives Office to achieve business objectives and facilitate the smooth operation of programs and projects.
  • Manage the effectiveness and efficiency of project managers and their teams, ensuring adherence to project management best practices throughout all phases of project execution.
  • Conduct internal assessments of potential projects, leading the analysis of financial and design aspects for new initiatives while collaborating with key stakeholders to build compelling business cases.
  • Facilitate the development, translation, and execution of strategies aligned with our organizational goals, engaging with senior leadership and board members as necessary.
  • Collaborate with executives and management to effectively oversee internal programs and projects, identifying opportunities for successful and timely implementation.
  • Ensure the production of timely and accurate communications that provide leadership and direction, including conducting presentations on project activities and progress.
  • Implement effective resource planning mechanisms to manage programs and projects within budget constraints.
  • Analyze and forecast project budgets, prepare financial reports, and initiate corrective actions as needed to meet financial objectives.
  • Establish and enforce standards, policies, and processes, creating metrics and reporting systems to assess overall success.
  • Act as a change leader across business units to ensure the successful execution of programs and projects.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and coordinate with various departments to uphold standards.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Proven project management and leadership capabilities.
  • Over eight years of experience in continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Five years of experience with project management tools.
  • Experience leading cross-functional project teams, preferably in a professional services environment.
  • Extensive experience in operations management and project execution.
  • Recent experience in leading continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to present a professional image in all interactions.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certification in project management or business process optimization is preferred.
  • A minimum of eight years of relevant experience in operations management and project execution.
  • Experience in a professional services or technology-driven organization.
