About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Medical Director to join our Oncology Clinical Development team at Genmab. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development of our cancer therapies and ensuring their safe and effective use in patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the development of clinical programs, including component studies, to ensure timely and successful completion.
  • Lead the safety assessment of our drugs, including signal detection and monitoring of patient safety in clinical studies.
  • Develop and execute the clinical strategy for assigned programs, including the creation of clinical components of key documents, such as regulatory documents and registration dossiers.
  • Provide strategic medical advice on potential new projects, both internally and externally.
  • Plan and execute publication and clinical communication strategies in coordination with Scientific Communications.
  • Direct study design, protocol development, and execution of clinical research for pivotal cancer studies.
  • Provide medical expertise in oncology, including relevant and up-to-date knowledge of competitor products.
  • Contribute to the scientific, medical, and commercial development of current and future product candidates.
  • Interact with key opinion leaders to ensure the implementation of the latest clinical and medical thinking and guidelines into clinical development plans.
  • Support business development and alliance management activities as needed.
  • Oversee the conception and execution of clinical strategy for specified projects.
  • Contribute to medical department best practices, standardization, and cross-functional process improvements.
  • Support the development of case report forms, perform medical monitoring, and liaise with investigators and site personnel.
Requirements
  • MD background with a minimum of 10+ years of directly related industry experience within oncology or hematology.
  • Significant experience with relevant areas of oncology.
  • Proven ability to build and lead teams and inspire trust among colleagues.
  • Significant experience in building internal and external networks and reputation.
  • Experience implementing significant optimization and innovation of organizational processes.
  • Experience training and managing team members.
  • Proven performance in earlier role or comparable role.
