Phlebotomy Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team at Mindlance. As a Phlebotomy Specialist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients and preparing them for laboratory testing. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect blood samples from patients using a variety of techniques, including venipuncture and capillary collection.
- Prepare blood samples for laboratory testing, including labeling and packaging.
- Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and laboratory staff to ensure accurate and timely testing.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient information and laboratory results.
- Work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team to achieve departmental goals.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; medical training or phlebotomy certification preferred.
- Three years of phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Minimum two years of experience in a patient service center environment preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
