Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough inspections of products on the production line to verify compliance with quality specifications. Execute quality process evaluations at designated intervals, adhering to written guidelines as per customer specifications. Identify and communicate any quality discrepancies or defects to production supervisors and management, halting production for urgent quality concerns. Collect samples for detailed inspections. Assess parts at the gauging station for precise measurements and check for any physical distortions. Monitor production for visible defects such as scratches, burrs, and incorrect lengths. Collaborate with machine operators to implement necessary adjustments. Coordinate with line personnel regarding parts that require Quality Review during various production events. Evaluate parts held for Quality Review to determine their acceptability or need for escalation to the Quality Manager. Serve as a backup for Packers during breaks or in instances of absenteeism. Ensure that packing materials are adequately stocked at the packing station. Perform additional related duties as assigned to support plant operations. Working Conditions: This position is safety-sensitive, involving direct interaction with machinery in a manufacturing setting. The environment may be non-climate-controlled, with temperatures occasionally exceeding outside conditions. Vision requirements include close, distance, and peripheral vision, along with the ability to adjust focus. Physical demands include the ability to bend, walk, and stand for extended periods, as well as lift and move objects weighing up to 20 pounds. The role may require bending, stooping, and climbing. Flexibility to work overtime, including weekends, is essential to meet operational needs. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Proficient communication skills in English, both verbal and written, across all organizational levels. Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations. Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities in a dynamic work environment. Capability to follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions effectively.
