Utility Systems Operator 3rd Class

As an Equipment Operator 3rd Class, you will play a vital role in the management and functionality of utility systems. Your responsibilities will encompass the oversight and maintenance of various systems, including steam, chilled water, condensate, and domestic water. Under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor, you will engage in the operation, upkeep, repair, and installation of equipment to ensure the Central Plant meets operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the operation and maintenance of utility production and distribution systems
- Engage in the repair, maintenance, and installation of equipment
- Monitor and adjust equipment operating conditions as necessary
- Conduct chemical analysis checks and adjustments for various systems
- Review and interpret operational and technical manuals
- Evaluate plant processes and propose enhancements
- Collaborate with colleagues to troubleshoot issues
- Perform additional assigned tasks as required
- High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Possession of a 3rd Class DC Steam Engineers License
- Experience in managing high-pressure steam and chilled water systems
- Effective communication skills across all levels
- Familiarity with operational manuals and plant protocols
- Aptitude for managing multiple tasks with precision
- Proficient in using personal computers and relevant software
- Adherence to safety policies and procedures
- Regular onsite presence is required
- This position involves night shifts
- Valid U.S. driver's license is necessary
- Willingness to travel domestically may be required
- Outdoor work could be part of the role
- Commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards
- Designated as an emergency employee
Hourly Rate: $40.66 USD
