Job Summary

Pine Technical and Community College seeks two Accounting Officers to provide professional financial services, specifically in the area of fiscal transactions, the Campus Store, preparation of budgets, and organizing a wide range of financial data for department supervisors and administrators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide financial services, including fiscal transactions, budget preparation, and financial data analysis.
  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the annual College budget.
  • Organize and maintain financial data for department supervisors and administrators.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.

Requirements
  • Three years of progressive professional accounting work experience or related experience.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and practices sufficient to analyze and interpret fiscal data.
  • Knowledge of budget terminology and principles sufficient to assist in preparing and monitoring the annual College budget.
  • Advanced computer skills in word processing, database management, and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to prepare and interpret complex fiscal reports and records.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Knowledge of Statewide accounting (or comparable) system sufficient to compile, analyze, and interpret fiscal information for use by management.
  • Effective organization, time management, and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal relations skills to develop and maintain effective relationships with College staff, students, system-level finance staff, auditors, and vendors/contractors.
