About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Specialist to join our team at Novo Nordisk in North Carolina. As a Process Control Systems Expert, you will play a vital role in ensuring our manufacturing processes meet global standards.

With over 100 years of experience in diabetes care, we have established ourselves as leaders in our industry. Our Product Supply Aseptic Manufacturing (PS AM) facility in Clayton, NC is a state-of-the-art site responsible for producing innovative injectable and oral treatments for diabetes and obesity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement plans to maintain and improve process control systems
  • Schedule and execute projects in coordination with manufacturing schedules
  • Provide technical expertise as an automation resource on projects involving process control systems
  • Maintain a strong understanding of site process control systems and identify areas for improvement
  • Adhere to automation standards and implement necessary changes to specifications and maintenance plans
  • Support audits and inspections as a subject matter expert for process control systems
  • Utilize tools for systematic problem-solving, process improvement, and project management
  • Operate within a quality mindset focused on risk management and mitigation
  • Implement effective change management and support corporate initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field from an accredited university required
  • Minimum of three years of experience in process-based manufacturing, utility, and/or packaging systems preferred
  • Experience with PLC, SCADA, MES, Oracle, and MS SQL a plus
