The U.S. Air Force Central Command's Network Operations and Security Center (AFCENT NOSC) is responsible for comprehensive information technology (IT) services management and operations for AFCENT networks, functioning 24/7. Tasked by USCENTCOM, the center ensures information assurance (IA) through boundary intrusion detection and prevention for USCENTCOM components. The AFCENT NOSC encompasses operations, support, cybersecurity, network engineering, and command support functions, planning, engineering, installing, integrating, operating, maintaining, protecting, and managing an enterprise-wide network and systems architecture. Additionally, the center provides enterprise-level oversight to subordinate and supported communications activities. In response to steady state, contingency, and emergency operations, personnel are deployed to the USCENTCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR) to install, integrate, upgrade, patch, and sustain enterprise networks, systems, and services. AFCENT/A6 has engaged NOSC IT support services to enhance mission execution in a dynamic technological, geopolitical, and military landscape.
Key Responsibilities

V2X is in search of a qualified candidate to oversee Cybersecurity Operations Management for the AFCENT NOSC IT contract. This role is contingent upon the successful award of the contract to V2X.

Required Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship with an active DoD TS-SCI Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • DCWF KSAT Category: 631.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Network+, Unix/Linux, and ITIL Foundation Certifications.
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with a demonstrated understanding of:
    • Installation of Microsoft Windows Server in Host and Compute Environments, utilizing server images.
    • Implementation of storage solutions, high availability, Domain Name Systems (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), network connectivity, remote access solutions, core and distributed network solutions, and advanced network infrastructure.
    • Maintenance and monitoring of server environments.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux systems.
  • Proficiency in firewall management.
