We are in search of a Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team supporting a key government client. This pivotal role will encompass a range of Information Technology services, including Web/Software Development, Information Assurance/Cybersecurity, IT Support Services, System Administration, and Network Management. These services are essential for the effective management and operations at various levels within the organization.

Primary Duties of the Cybersecurity Specialist:

  • Execute Information Assurance tasks as a privileged local administrator for client workstations.
  • Maintain compliance with DoD M. IA Workforce Improvement Program certification; additional relevant certifications include DoD M, DoD 857.1, and DoD 8140.
  • Ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information by implementing recovery strategies, conducting security audits, and applying various Information Assurance (IA) defensive measures.
  • Install, configure, and manage a suite of hardware and software for Network Management/Information Protection to safeguard information assets from both internal and external threats.
  • Notify the government of any IT-related security concerns.
  • Identify, analyze, and rectify vulnerabilities in accordance with network security protocols.
  • Assist the government IA team with audit reviews, user account management for internal and external networks, and media control and transfer requests.
Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline such as Engineering or Mathematics.
  • 5-7 years of experience in Information Assurance and Network Management/Information Protection.

Essential Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Possession of an active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification is mandatory.

Compensation:

Salary bands for this position have not yet been established. Isys Technologies takes into account various factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education, key skills, internal equity, and market conditions when extending an offer.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

While executing the duties of this role, the employee will frequently sit, walk, stand, and navigate stairs. There may be instances requiring long distances to be covered from parking to the workstation. Occasionally, movements requiring twisting of the neck and/or trunk, squatting, kneeling, reaching overhead, and forward motion may be necessary. Continuous repetition of hand, arm, or finger motions is expected. Manual dexterity is essential for this position. Specific vision capabilities required include close, distance, depth perception, and color differentiation. Effective communication through speech with clients and the public is necessary. Hearing capabilities must include the ability to engage in conversation in both quiet and noisy environments. Lifting may involve movements from floor to waist, waist to shoulder, or shoulder to overhead, with weights up to 20 pounds. This position requires the ability to manage various levels of mental stress.
