Valiant Integrated Services is in search of a proficient Military Training Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a Part-Time On-Call role, providing support to the Army National Guard (ARNG) Mission Training Complexes and various Department of Defense (DOD) sites. The selected candidate will serve as a Full-Spectrum SME/Lead, overseeing collective training for the Mission Training Complex, which includes the creation of scenarios, script development, and exercise management for MTC-driven collective events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as an SME in military Live, Virtual, Constructive, and Gaming (LVC-G) training methodologies, including simulations and other Mission Command Training enablers.
  • Lead a team of DTT SMEs across diverse subject matter areas such as Intelligence, Maneuver, Fires, Protection, and Sustainment.
  • Provide advisory support, mentorship, and expertise to Brigade and subordinate units throughout the planning and execution phases, including After Action Reviews (AAR) of MTC-driven collective events.
  • Recommend effective LVC-G training strategies and methodologies to address and anticipate training needs.
  • Design scenario-based exercises that align with Unit Commanders' training objectives.
  • Develop theater-specific scripting for Master Scenario Events List (MSEL) or simulation control injects that integrate with and support training exercises and constructive staff training in a Live-Virtual-Constructive environment.
  • Conduct thorough research on evolving military doctrine, theater-specific operations, and newly developed tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) to create accurate MSEL or simulation control injects that reflect the operational environment.
  • Ensure Unit Leadership comprehends MTC capabilities related to operations, training, technical support, simulations, and distribution methodologies.
  • Synchronize MTC training capabilities assets leading up to and during collective events.
  • Administer and operationally lead a team of skilled trainers.
  • Handle Government sensitive data and represent the Government at meetings and conferences as required.
  • Engage with corporate and customer management to clarify project scope, planning needs, and reporting requirements.
  • Deliver comprehensive reports and implement ISO quality standards.
  • Analyze progress and formulate necessary recovery plans or alternatives.
  • Evaluate existing components or systems to ascertain integration requirements and ensure solutions meet organizational needs.
  • Adhere to Company and Site Policies, Practices, and Procedures, exercising authority to conduct or recommend employee disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Safeguard and maintain Government-furnished equipment, materials, and facilities.

Qualifications:

  • BA or BS degree in any field (MA or MS degree preferred). Completion of Command and General Staff College or equivalent military education is preferred.
  • Prior senior Army/ARNG leadership experience with a background in training management and Combat Training Center (CTC) experience.
  • Experience as a Combat Arms, Combat Support, or Combat Service Support Officer with primary staff experience in the specific War Fighting Function at Battalion, Brigade, or Division Level.
  • A minimum of six (6) years of combined staff experience within the specific War Fighting Function or eight (8) years of specialized experience in a similar MCTSP duty position.
  • Recent experience within the National Guard training support system.
  • Qualifications in War Fighter Function area Army Mission Command System.
  • Preferred experience as a Battalion or higher commander.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience with Computer Assisted Training exercises.
  • At least eight (8) years of experience with Military or DOD operations.
  • Possession of a valid State Driver's License and maintenance of Post driving privileges.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance and meet other eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Successful completion of the Defense Information System Agency (DISA) Information Systems Security (INFOSEC) Awareness training.
  • Two (2) years of experience with exercise planning using the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) process.
  • Demonstrated experience in operational planning and simulations using Exercise Readiness Framework (ERF), Mission Readiness Framework (MRF), and stimulating Mission Command Systems (MCS).
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills for effective interaction with military and civilian personnel.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and common sense in job functions.
  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in prioritizing and performing multiple tasks simultaneously under pressure.
  • High level of confidentiality and loyalty is essential.
