Are you enthusiastic about engaging students in the realms of Video Games, Coding, Python, RobloxTM, App Design, Digital Filmmaking, Robotics, Drones, MinecraftTM, or STEM?
We are on the lookout for passionate, driven, and skilled individuals to take on the role of Lead Instructors in our after school initiatives. In this position, you will mentor students through our exceptional project-based learning curriculum, helping them acquire vital technology skills in coding, Minecraft, ROBLOX, video production, game development, and more.
- Program runs throughout the academic year in 6-8 week sessions, with opportunities to extend into additional seasons and summer programs.
- Gain hands-on technology experience with eager learners.
- Compensated training provided.
- No formal experience is necessary, though teaching experience is highly valued.
Qualifications:
- Background in technology or education is preferred.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Availability required after school hours (approximately 2:00 - 5:00 PM), Monday through Friday, with potential for 35+ hours/week during summer following the school year program.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years old and possess experience working with children aged 8-14 and/or in technology.
- Experience in an educational environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Comfortable managing teacher-to-student ratios of 12:1.
- Strong technology skills are preferred, including knowledge in 3D modeling, digital arts, coding, game design, animation, robotics, game modification, video editing, competitive gaming, or significant familiarity with Minecraft or Roblox, including modding or streaming.
- Ability to transport equipment weighing up to 25 pounds as needed.
Additional Information:
- This is a seasonal, part-time, hourly role.
- Compensation ranges from $23/hr to $28/hr.
- Paid training is included.
