Protein Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Protein Engineer to join our team at the University of Pittsburgh. As a key member of our research group, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and evaluating novel AAV vector systems with enhanced capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct independent scientific research projects from inception to presentation.
- Prepare and craft various documentations of research results into manuscripts, proposals, grant applications, and presentations.
- Train undergraduates and research technicians.
- Manage laboratory policies and coordinate project development in collaboration with other specialists.
- PhD in biophysics, computational biology, biology, biochemistry, or related field.
- Previous experience in structural biology and/or computational protein analysis and design.
- Experience with basic molecular biology techniques, including molecular cloning.
- Experience with protein expression in bacterial cells and FPLC protein purification is highly desirable.
