Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team in Electrophysiology. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for assisting licensed practitioners in the completion of fluoroscopic and specialized interventional procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the procedure and providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation, and minimize patient anxiety.
  • Utilize sterile technique to assist licensed practitioners in the completion of fluoroscopic and specialized interventional procedures.
  • Administer and document medications and radiation exposure in accordance with federal and state laws, regulations, or facility policy.
  • Perform high-quality diagnostic vascular laboratory examinations using ultrasound and physiologic testing equipment to evaluate the cerebrovascular, peripheral arterial, and peripheral venous systems.
Requirements
  • Certification and Registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) required.
  • BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care) required.
  • ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support- American Heart Association (preferred) and Certification in Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography R.T.(R)(CV)(ARRT) (preferred) and Vascular-Interventional Radiology R.T.(R)(VI)(ARRT) (preferred) and State Licensure (preferred, unless required by the state where the job is being performed) required.
Working Conditions

May be exposed to physical altercations and verbal abuse. May be required to use physical restraints. May be exposed to limited hazardous substances or body fluids. May be exposed to human blood and other potentially infectious materials. May have periods of constant interruptions.

Physical Requirements

Physical Demands: Lifting/ Carrying (0-50 lbs.), Lifting/ Carrying (50-100 lbs.), Push/ Pull (0-50 lbs.), Push/ Pull (50-100 lbs.), Stoop, Kneel, Crawling, Climbing, Balance, Bending. Work Position: Sitting, Walking, Standing. Additional Physical Requirements/Hazards: Manual dexterity (eye/hand coordination), Perform shift work, Maneuver weight of patients, Hear alarms/telephone/audio recorder, Reach above shoulder, Repetitive arm/hand movements, Finger Dexterity, Color Vision, Acuity - far, Acuity – near, Hazards: Exposure to potential electrical shock, Exposure to x ray/electromagnetic energy, Exposure to high pitched noises, Other: Exposure to radiation.
