Radiology Mammography Technologist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Mammography Technologist to join our team at Nitelines USA, Inc.

Job Summary:

The Radiology Mammography Technologist will be responsible for performing radiographic and mammographic studies, producing high-quality images, and ensuring patient safety and well-being during examinations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform radiologic and mammography examinations in accordance with established protocols.
  • Inspect and clean equipment prior to use, ensuring optimal performance and patient safety.
  • Keep exam rooms neat and orderly, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Report equipment failures and malfunctions to the supervisor or director.
  • Process images, complete paperwork, and organize records accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform required quality control checks as appropriate.
  • Adjust mammography controls as needed prior to each examination.
  • Produce high-quality mammography images on all patients, including wheelchair and implant patients.
  • Confer with radiologists throughout the shift to ensure proper viewing, imaging, and techniques for optimal patient examinations.
  • Identify abnormal breast tissue and repeat exposures or include additional views to minimize patient anxiety.
  • Confirm the location of prior examinations and contact previous facilities to secure previous mammograms for comparison.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or director.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved mammography course.
  • Current California Radiographic and Mammographic Technologist licensure.
  • At least one year of experience in mammography/x-ray.
  • Basic clerical and computer experience.

Physical Effort:

The physical demands of this job require the ability to assist moving patients and carrying a weight of thirty pounds a distance of fifty feet.

Certifications & Licenses:

Mammography Technologist certification is required.
