Job Summary:

The Director of Nursing (DON) is a key leadership position at Telecare Corporation, responsible for overseeing the administration of member care systems and member care in nursing areas and departments. This role requires a strong background in psychiatric nursing and supervisory experience, as well as excellent communication and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, direct, and control nursing services
  • Develop departmental goals, objectives, standards of performance, policies, and procedures
  • Collaborate with other administrative staff in strategic planning activities
  • Establish staffing requirements and recommend personnel to be employed
  • Implement the safety program and participate in reducing risks
  • Manage the Nursing Department within allocated budgetary parameters
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local licensing regulations and requirements
  • Oversee medication management and infection control standards
  • Collaborate with leadership team and all departments on quality initiatives

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with four years of experience, including two years in psychiatric nursing and two years in a supervisory capacity
  • Current valid licensure as an RN
  • CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certification
  • Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MSN degree
