Cardiac Sonographer

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing cardiac imaging and other non-invasive cardiology procedures.

• Perform cardiac sonographic imaging and all necessary functions required to complete the procedure for interpretation.
• Interact with providers as necessary for completion of the procedure.
• Perform cardiac stress testing on patients with complete knowledge of different stress protocols and the computerized capabilities of the equipment used to perform the test.
• Apply and process Holter/event monitors.
• Participate in 'on call' rotation for echoes and TEEs after hours (as needed for inpatient facilities).
• Serve as a resource for other technologists, students, and hospital staff.

• Associate degree in cardiovascular technology with a focus in cardiac imaging and/or 2 years' experience in the field of echocardiology.
• Must be able to perform a complete echocardiogram using appropriate protocol, must be able to understand directions, communicate and respond to inquiries.
• Must be able to differentiate colors, tolerate exposure to blood borne pathogens and body fluids, and operate cardiac ultrasound equipment, controls, machinery, and desk machines.
• Must be able to input and retrieve information from computer.
• Must be a registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer or registry eligible through ARDMS or CCI.

• Associate degree in cardiovascular technology with a focus in cardiac imaging.
• 2 years of experience in the field of echocardiology.

Personal Protective Equipment: Gloves, gowns and masks as needed. Physical Demands: Must be able to move about department and between workstations. Must be able to frequently move, lift and/or carry medium weight objects and materials.
