Job Responsibilities

As a Culinary Supervisor, you will report to the Culinary Management team. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising food-service associates in alignment with company policies and legal standards.
  • Demonstrating expertise in various cooking techniques such as braising, baking, and sautéing.
  • Managing kitchen equipment and ensuring optimal operational conditions.
  • Conducting inventory assessments and planning food production based on menu requirements.
  • Upholding food safety and sanitation standards, including HACCP protocols.
  • Monitoring food temperatures during preparation and service.
  • Engaging in taste testing to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Training and mentoring kitchen staff, managing performance, and resolving any issues.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment.
  • Handling special dietary requests with care and precision.
  • Preparing sauces and other culinary items as needed.
  • Ensuring proper storage and labeling of food items to minimize waste.
  • Assisting in meal service and gathering customer feedback.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • A passion for culinary arts and a commitment to guest satisfaction.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-volume culinary environment.
  • A Culinary Education Degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Strong knife skills and a solid understanding of culinary techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret recipes accurately.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capability to adapt to varying production demands.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Vocational training or high school certification in culinary arts.
  • Certification from a recognized culinary institution.
  • Basic knowledge of wines and food pairings.
