Role Overview
Cybersecurity is a fundamental aspect of our operations at Currency Cloud. It is vital for maintaining our leadership in the financial technology space, and every employee plays a role in protecting sensitive information, preventing unauthorized access, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Position Summary
The successful candidate will be integrated into the Cloud Security team, which operates within the broader Cybersecurity division. This team is responsible for overseeing the security of our cloud assets, ensuring a secure transition to cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the cloud security initiatives and contribute to the architectural strategy and roadmap for cloud platforms.
2. Collaborate with various teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications for cloud engineers.
3. Implement security strategies to support hybrid and multi-cloud solutions across different providers.
4. Design secure cloud-native platforms and core services, ensuring compliance with security standards and regulations.
5. Assess the security posture of applications migrating to public cloud environments.
6. Mentor and guide team members and cross-functional colleagues.
7. Research and evaluate emerging technologies relevant to cloud security.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or at least 5 years with an Advanced Degree, or 11+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Over 9 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 7+ years with an Advanced Degree.
- In-depth technical knowledge of public cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Strong grasp of cloud security principles and experience in designing Zero Trust Architectures.
- Proven experience in developing scalable cloud security solutions and effectively communicating technical content to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in automation programming, particularly with Python and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
- Familiarity with industry frameworks and regulatory standards, including NIST, PCI, GDPR, and FFIEC.
Additional Information:
This position may require occasional travel and is performed in an office setting, necessitating the ability to communicate effectively and operate standard office equipment.
