Job Summary

This position is for a Psychiatric Technician Assistant at the State of California. The incumbent will work under direct supervision to assist licensed staff in providing basic behavioral and psychiatric nursing care and custody services to clients/patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist licensed staff in providing basic behavioral and psychiatric nursing care and custody services to clients/patients.
  • Work under direct supervision to ensure the highest level of care and safety for clients/patients.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to clients/patients and their families.
  • Participate in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in psychiatric nursing care.
Working Conditions

The employee is required to work any shift and schedule in a variety of settings throughout the hospital and may be required to work overtime and float to other work locations as determined by the operational needs of the hospital.

Requirements
  • Certified Nursing Assistant License.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
