Descripción del Puesto:

  • Este puesto es responsable de identificar fallos en los circuitos del sistema eléctrico y reparar el cableado eléctrico de acuerdo con los estándares del fabricante, así como diagnosticar problemas en todos los sistemas eléctricos del vehículo, reparar partes eléctricas dañadas y mantener el equipo de reparación eléctrica para un fabricante de automóviles.


Funciones y responsabilidades incluyen:

  • Proporcionar reparación de vehículos en el sitio durante la semana y algunos fines de semana o mentoría/coaching a técnicos de reparación en una instalación de ensamblaje de vehículos: los turnos pueden ser de 1º, 2º o 3º turno (el equipo tiene una rotación de horarios, el horario cambiará según la rotación asignada).
  • Diagnosticar problemas eléctricos y ejecutar un plan de acción.
  • Proporcionar liderazgo en el sitio con estimaciones de tiempo para las reparaciones.
  • Reparar y/o reemplazar cableado, conectores o sistemas eléctricos defectuosos.
  • Instalar nuevos sistemas de cableado de vehículos según los estándares del fabricante.
  • Reparar y solucionar problemas de sistemas de inmovilización y alarmas.
  • Servicio de partes eléctricas automotrices.
  • Servicio y reparación de sistemas eléctricos en vehículos nuevos del fabricante.
  • Mantener un entorno de trabajo limpio.
  • Completar informes de trabajo y procesar la documentación necesaria.
  • Instruir y guiar a otros técnicos de reparación para mejorar su comprensión de los sistemas eléctricos y subsistemas de vehículos.
  • Presentar y demostrar métodos eficientes y efectivos para diagnosticar y corregir deficiencias en los sistemas eléctricos de vehículos y subsistemas.
  • Realizar análisis de causa raíz para identificar con precisión la(s) causa(s) de las deficiencias del vehículo.
  • Actuar como Experto en la Materia para otros técnicos de reparación proporcionando interpretación de arquitecturas y esquemas de sistemas eléctricos de vehículos.
  • Comunicar y compartir lecciones aprendidas con el liderazgo del sitio y otros técnicos de reparación de manera oportuna.
  • Viajes ocasionales requeridos (según sea necesario) a sitios de trabajo en otros estados.


Habilidades Requeridas:

  • Mínimo de 5 años de experiencia como técnico de reparación eléctrica.
  • Conocimiento avanzado de sistemas eléctricos vehiculares modernos.
  • Capacidad para trabajar en espacios confinados dentro del vehículo.
  • Habilidades complejas de resolución de problemas.
  • Buenas habilidades de comunicación.
  • Capacidad para trabajar de pie o en posición agachada durante largos períodos.
  • Capacidad para distinguir variaciones sutiles de color.
  • Conocimiento demostrado de sistemas automotrices desde una perspectiva de diagnóstico avanzado.
  • Capacidad para leer e interpretar un multímetro digital, herramienta de diagnóstico OEM y otros equipos de prueba diagnóstica relacionados con la automoción.
  • Capacidad para llevar a cabo discusiones uno a uno y en grupos pequeños de manera efectiva.
  • Capacidad para interpretar diagramas esquemáticos eléctricos a nivel de ingeniería temprana.
  • Capacidad para trabajar de manera independiente sin supervisión.
  • Licencia de conducir válida.


Habilidades Deseadas:

  • Certificaciones ASE.
  • Experiencia como capataz de taller o técnico líder.
  • Experiencia en desarrollo de esquemas eléctricos automotrices.
  • Experiencia en el Centro de Asistencia Técnica Automotriz.


Educación Requerida:

  • Título de Asociado o Certificado en Tecnología Automotriz, ingeniería u otra disciplina relacionada.
