Job Title: Psychiatric Advanced Practice Registered Nurse

AWARE is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Advanced Practice Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our Psychiatric Services team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals with mental health needs.

Job Summary:

The Psychiatric Advanced Practice Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plans in accordance with statutes, regulations, and protocols regulating the profession. You will work collaboratively with treatment teams to provide comprehensive care, including medication management, counseling, and education. Your expertise will be essential in helping individuals achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete intake assessments and follow-ups for psychiatric medication management.
  • Provide psychiatric health services, education, counseling, and emotional support.
  • Collaborate with treatment teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Prescribe medications in accordance with treatment guidelines.
  • Order laboratory tests, interpret, and explain test results to patients.
  • Provide patient education regarding medications, risks, benefits, and reasonable outcome expectations.
  • Communicate with patients and treatment teams, engaging in follow-up as necessary.
Requirements:
  • MSN or DNP (or equivalent) APRN, PMHNP board-certified or eligible with 1+ year psychiatric nursing experience.
  • Sound understanding of all federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
