Project Engineer

At RoviSys Federal Solutions, we are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and leading building automation projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical guidance to project teams and lead customer meetings to ensure successful project execution.
  • Identify and assign tasks within the project team, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Assist with proposal generation by estimating hardware costs and engineering effort required for projects.
  • Maintain relationships with existing customers and provide technical support as needed.
Instrumentation and Electrical Design:
  • Create instrument lists by examining P&ID drawings and research instrumentation to select appropriate devices.
  • Research and select controls hardware suitable for projects and compile submittal documentation.
  • Create panel layouts and electrical schematics for controls enclosures and procure project hardware.
  • Provide technical support for panel fabrication technicians and inspect completed control enclosures.
System Design and Configuration:
  • Lead customer design review meetings and configure user interface and HMI screens.
  • Configure DDC, PLC, and/or DCS control algorithms and execute internal functional and quality control testing.
  • Draft system documentation and assist with customer demonstrations and acceptance testing.
Onsite System Startup:
  • Install project software and configuration onto site systems and participate in point-to-point loop checks.
  • Perform software calibration and tuning, conduct functional tests of all systems, and troubleshoot installation discrepancies.
  • Support additional customer testing, program field modifications as required, and train customer representatives on operations and maintenance of the system.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Experience: One or more of the following technologies: Rockwell, Siemens, Distech, Johnson Controls, Tridium, AVEVA.
  • Strong MS Office capabilities and knowledge of scripting languages (VBA, Python, etc.).
