Key Responsibilities
The HR and Training Specialist will undertake administrative functions to support the seamless operation of the Company and its Human Resource Department.
Payroll Management
- Execute accurate and timely processing of payroll cycles, including weekly and bi-weekly payrolls.
- Address payroll discrepancies and ensure compliance with tax regulations and documentation requirements.
- Provide assistance to employees regarding payroll inquiries.
- Maintain employee records within the payroll system.
Human Resources Operations
- Organize and uphold precise records in accordance with legal standards (training, personnel, medical, attendance, etc.).
- Facilitate the talent acquisition process, which may encompass recruiting, interviewing, and collaborating with management to define role requirements.
- Support the Company’s Reward & Recognition initiatives.
- Coordinate employee health assessments.
- Assist with audits, investigations, and compliance reporting.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures while participating in various HR projects.
- Perform additional clerical and administrative tasks as required.
Talent Development and Training
- Oversee new employee onboarding, conduct orientation sessions, and manage new hire documentation.
- Collaborate with supervisors to identify training needs and opportunities for employee development, including conducting assessments to uncover training gaps.
- Maintain the training calendar and associated records.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- High School Diploma or GED is mandatory; an Associate Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent experience is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Human Resources.
- At least 1 year of recent experience in recruitment and/or employee development.
- Preferred experience in payroll processing for a minimum of 1 year.
- Familiarity with HR laws and payroll regulations.
- Understanding of recruitment, selection, training, benefits administration, and 401(k) management.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Capacity to handle confidential information with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Strong conflict resolution and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to engage with all levels of the organization and foster trusted relationships.
