About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Designer to join our team at Rustic Fire Protection. As a Fire Sprinkler Designer, you will be responsible for preparing shop drawing submittals, field installation drawings, hydraulic calculations, and narratives based on NFPA code standards, the International Building Code, and Local Authority or fire marshal requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Detailing of shop drawings, installation prints, hydraulic calculations, 3D coordination, and supporting field installation crews.
  • Compile and prepare submittal plans (shop drawings) and hydraulic calculations for review by architects, engineers, clients, and authorities having jurisdiction.
  • Coordinate fire sprinkler design with building structure and other MEP subcontractors.
  • Prepare cut-lists and installation prints to be used for material procurement, working together with project managers to meet project schedules.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience in fire sprinkler related design – NICET Certifications are a plus.
  • Knowledge of the design of Wet & Dry Systems, Pre-action, Manual & Automatic Standpipes, Fire pumps and storage tanks.
  • Experience with AutoSPRINK, Navisworks, AutoCAD software suites – willing to train the right candidate.
  • Fluent with MS Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
