Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive inventory analysis and maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.
- Assist in all facets of inventory accounting, including the preparation of accruals, inventory reserves, and lower of cost or market (LCM) calculations.
- Perform account reconciliations and ensure compliance with relevant financial controls.
- Engage in monthly accounting activities, preparing journal entries and conducting variance analyses between budgeted and actual figures.
- Collaborate with the Inventory Manager and accounting teams to establish and refine period-end closing schedules and procedures.
- Oversee inventory existence procedures, including physical inventories and cycle counts for both managed and third-party locations.
- Support the Director of Accounting in monitoring offsite inventory balances and sales activities.
- Work alongside the Innovation/Process Improvement team to enhance inventory tracking systems.
- Partner with various departments to streamline carrier settlement processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Assist in the development and testing of new inventory reporting tools, ensuring user acceptance and functionality.
- Manage non-routine inventory transactions and prepare necessary reserve calculations and reports.
- Facilitate the preparation of schedules and reports for external auditors during financial statement audits.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required.
- Preferred experience in public accounting.
- A minimum of six years in inventory or cost accounting roles.
- Experience in manufacturing, electronics, or distribution industries is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of GAAP as it pertains to inventory management.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Access is essential.
- Familiarity with SQL report queries is a plus.
- ERP experience is mandatory, with a strong preference for Oracle expertise.
