We are seeking a skilled and experienced CDL Class A truck driver to join our team at Wegmans Food Markets. As a truck driver, you will be responsible for making timely, safe, and efficient deliveries to our stores while operating top-of-the-line equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Operate a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials to and from our stores
- Ensure timely and safe delivery of goods to our stores
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and mileage
- Comply with all relevant laws and regulations, including hours of service and weight limits
- CDL-A License and 1 year of CDL Class A Tractor Trailer driving experience required
- Candidates must be at least 21 years of age and have a clean driving record
- Employment as a driver at Wegmans is contingent upon completion and our evaluation of a drug test, DOT drug test, DOT physical, background check, employment verification, driver's abstract/PSP review, as well as a skills evaluation
- Competitive pay with scheduled increases every 6 months
- Minimal product to handle with no-touch freight; typically drop-and-hook deliveries
- Home every day with regional routes. No layover deliveries and no overnight stays Use of pre-pass included
