We are seeking a highly motivated DDC Commissioning and Controls Specialist to join our team at Piedmont Service Group. Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all control points, hardware, and software meet the specified requirements, including sequence of operations and proper system function. They will also be responsible for testing, documenting, and verifying all systems functions as specified in the sequence of operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commissioning and Testing: Perform point-to-point checkout and calibration of control devices, inputs, and outputs. Verify that all systems functions as specified in the sequence of operations.
  • Documentation and Tracking: Generate, document, and track all punch list items and deficiencies of design, mechanical, electrical, and controls.
  • System Training and Support: Demonstrate operation of the system to customers, design teams, third-party commissioning agents, and other stakeholders.
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Perform quality control inspections of installations and programming to ensure compliance with specifications and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 3+ years of direct experience with DDC controls systems, preferably with Distech and/or Siemens programming, commissioning, and graphics.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Working knowledge of mechanical equipment sequence of operations, including terminal boxes, fan coil units, VAV and constant volume RTUs, AHUs, and basic 4-pipe systems. Understanding of control devices (inputs/outputs) and their function, low-voltage wiring, and electrical conduit installation practices.
  • Education and Certifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
