Position Summary

This role entails the design, execution, and validation of various waveform initiatives for both current and upcoming products. You will focus on digital design modulators specifically for satellite communication systems. Operating with a degree of autonomy, you will have the freedom to initiate and develop both architecture and detailed designs for wireless communication systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design digital modulators tailored for satellite wireless communication systems.
  • Utilize digital programmable technologies, including Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA), System on Chip (SoC), Analog to Digital Converters (ADC), and Digital to Analog Converters (DAC).
  • Create waveform designs in alignment with customer specifications.
  • Develop tactical waveform designs (e.g., Link-16) based on client needs.
  • Implement designs on hardware platforms.
  • Conduct performance testing and evaluation of modems.
  • Oversee system initialization and design validation testing, including the use of RF test equipment and automated testing setups.
  • Engage in design, simulation, performance analysis, and optimization of waveforms using tools such as Matlab/Simulink.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in digital modem design.
  • Strong technical foundation in digital modem design.
  • Familiarity with Radio Frequency (RF) and microwave components, including oscillators, mixers, attenuators, amplifiers, couplers, isolators, and Printed Circuit Boards (PCB).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team, generate documentation, and participate in formal reviews.
  • Experience with embedded processors and software integration, ensuring interoperability with digital designs.
  • Comfortable working with Agile project methodologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in delivering focused results within time-sensitive programs.
  • Skilled in rapidly devising innovative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Eligibility to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Salary Range

$116,000 - $140,000

Innoflight LLC considers various factors when extending an offer, including the role's responsibilities, the candidate's experience, education, and key skills. Employees may also qualify for profit-sharing and discretionary bonuses in addition to base compensation. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in the company's success.
