Job Description

TRAX International is seeking a highly skilled Business Manager to join our team at our Wallops Flight Facility location in Virginia. As a Business Manager, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of assigned contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, and providing excellent communication with counterparts and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed reports to ensure compliance with contractual requirements
  • Participate in budget, contract administration, and accounting-related issues with counterparts
  • Administer the financial aspects of the contract, including establishing and documenting policies and procedures
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external audit agencies
  • Direct the implementation of corporate and contract personnel policies
  • Enter A/P in Costpoint, including voucher creation and system entry
  • Reconcile monthly corporate credit card statements
  • Prepare the monthly Cost Report and serve as the primary point of contact with the Government for any associated questions
  • Process bi-weekly cost vouchers and billing in Costpoint and submit to the Government financial system
  • Review, approve, and log new Purchase Requisitions
  • Audit weekly payroll reports for labor processing
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, economics, or a related field
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in program control, finance, and business data processing
  • Experience in government contract administration and knowledge of the FAR preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly developed analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must share a commitment to maintaining a positive, collaborative work environment while optimizing individual performance and contribution
  • Advanced skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Physical Qualifications
  • The work of this position is performed in an environmentally controlled office environment and sometimes in the field, where you are subject to the environment
  • Must be capable of sitting and entering data on a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to view a computer monitor for extended periods of time
  • Must be capable of lifting 25 lbs. unassisted
  • Reasonable accommodation can be made to enable people with disabilities to perform the duties and responsibilities
Terms of Employment & Eligibility Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be able to successfully complete a background check
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical and periodic retests, if contract required
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance or contract designated clearance prior to employment and maintain said clearance for the duration of employment
