Role Overview
We are in search of a Production Manager to enhance our Operations team. This pivotal role is based in our manufacturing facility and is integral to our commitment to operational excellence.
Reporting Structure
The Production Manager will report directly to the Plant Manager and will oversee a team comprising 8 Production Supervisors and 2 Production Trainers.

Prioritize safety and ensure compliance with safety protocols in all operational outputs. Enforce adherence to environmental policies and procedures. Supervise Production Supervisors across all shifts. Manage Production Trainers to ensure effective training and development. Collaborate with the production planning team to achieve operational targets. Ensure disciplined operation of equipment in line with established procedures. Optimize resource utilization and equipment maintenance. Develop and implement strategies to meet production goals across all departments. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and effective problem-solving. Monitor technician certifications and career progression. Collaborate with various functional teams to address operational challenges. Engage in root-cause analysis for any operational issues as necessary. Propose modifications to enhance existing processes and reduce costs. Prepare and present reports as required. Provide constructive feedback to team members and address personnel issues effectively. Mentor and develop staff, aligning their goals with organizational objectives. Coordinate production activities with the Sales & Operations Planning team. Formulate and justify annual budgets in line with operational needs.Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is mandatory.Experience & Skills:
A minimum of 7 years in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Proven experience in talent management and team development. Strong team-building skills with a data-driven management approach. Familiarity with Six Sigma, TPM, or similar methodologies is preferred. A proactive work ethic with high performance expectations. Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience with continuous improvement tools. Capacity to analyze data for identifying solutions and improvement opportunities. A change agent who promotes safety and quality standards while motivating team members.Key Attributes:
Willingness to support a 24/7 operation and be available for calls as needed. Flexibility to adjust schedules to accommodate night shifts. Strong communication skills across all organizational levels. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software. Capability to foster an environment of open communication and teamwork. Skills in evaluating team effectiveness and enhancing performance. Proficient in conflict resolution and fostering collaborative outcomes.Travel Requirements:
Willingness to travel up to 10% for training and inter-company visits.Work Environment
This role is situated within a manufacturing plant, requiring work in a production environment that may involve exposure to chemicals. The position necessitates standing and walking for a significant portion of the day, with adequate lighting and temperature conditions. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 35 pounds and maneuver objects as necessary.
