We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Development Engineer to join our team at Marotta Controls, Inc. in Montville, NJ. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing multiple tasks and overseeing various activities associated with engineering development and production.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure that all activities related to product development are executed and documented in a manner that is compliant with corporate and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and ensure timely execution of product plans, procedures, and reports.
- Build and test new and existing products, and support all testing both in-house and at outside test facilities.
- Check technical accuracy of work, troubleshoot non-functioning designs, and generate action plans and strategies to support and accommodate testing and development of new products.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize the required support systems to manage projects from conception through finalization, ensuring on-time results while achieving desired objectives.
- Design fixtures and test setups that will make testing more complete and efficient, and effectively communicate exceptions to established/agreed-upon schedules to all affected parties.
- Operate electronic data capture equipment, compile all contained data, and plan and allocate resources, materials, and scheduling of equipment for maximum utilization of facilities and personnel.
- Effectively make suggestions and informed decisions quickly, address potential issues proactively, and apply real-time problem-solving skills to achieve prompt resolution.
- Run multiple projects at the same time and on schedule, and be familiar with standard SMC-S-016 and experience with National Instruments DAQmx and/or LabVIEW.
- B.S. Engineering is required as a minimum.
- 5-10 years' experience in product testing and development.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in the areas of high-pressure fluids and gases.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in the areas of electronic test equipment.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills required for multi-faceted interactions with all levels of personnel within the organization, as well as any and all outside agents.
- Highly computer literate, with MS Office/PC expertise, and demonstrated experience with applicable systems, programs, equipment, etc.
- Must be a US Citizen.
This job interacts both in a professional office environment and a manufacturing/machine shop environment. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines, as well as environments inclusive of the appropriate eye, hearing, and foot protection (as required).
