As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Prisma Health, you will provide high-quality patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse/Physician. Your responsibilities will include data collection, monitoring, and documentation of patient responses, as well as providing patient/family instruction. You will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide patient care based on individualized plans of care, including physical, emotional, cultural, spiritual, psychosocial, and educational needs.
* Monitor and document patient status and condition, including vital signs, drains, dressings, and lab values.
* Inform the Registered Nurse/Physician of activities performed, observations of patients, and changes in patient status.
* Maintain accurate patient medical records and treat them as confidential.
* Collect and document data as delegated by the Registered Nurse/Physician, using specialized equipment such as glucometers and pulse oximetry.
Requirements
Completion of an LPN program recognized by the SC State Board of Nursing. One year of experience as an LPN. Licensed to practice as an LPN in South Carolina. In lieu of the above minimum requirements, we will accept successful completion of the Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program or a comparable residency program from another organization. In lieu of completion of a LPN program, we will accept program equivalency recognized by the SC State Board of Nursing. In lieu of 1 year of LPN experience, we will accept candidates enrolled in an accredited LPN to RN transition program.
