Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled EKG Monitor Technician to join our team at Dean's Professional Services. As a key member of our medical device support team, you will be responsible for interpreting and reporting EKG data received from patients wearing company monitoring devices to assist physicians in diagnosing patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process, analyze, and interpret EKG data to identify abnormal cardiac rhythms and symptoms
  • Collect recordings and patient symptoms as needed to facilitate accurate diagnosis
  • Activate emergency medical services (EMS) when indicated to ensure timely patient care
  • Accurately document actions taken within patient records to maintain accurate medical history
  • Facilitate orders for monitors and supplies to ensure seamless patient care
  • Obtain patient transmissions and related symptoms to provide comprehensive patient information
  • Recognize abnormal cardiac rhythms and symptoms, and clearly communicate information to healthcare team members
  • Ensure customer enrollment is entered correctly to maintain accurate patient records
  • Address patient and practice questions, and educate patients, practices, and sales staff on EKG data interpretation and patient care
  • Fax serious and critical reports to practices and hospitals as requested to ensure timely patient care
  • Retain information on safety regulations, current policies, and procedures to maintain a safe and compliant work environment
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Formal EKG education, such as a certificate from a school or third-party certification
  • PREFERRED:
  • CET (Certified EKG Technician) certification
  • CCT (Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician) certification
  • CRAT (Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician) certification
  • One year of work experience in a related field
