Job Title: RWSHR-Public Areas Attendant

Join our team as a Public Areas Attendant at Rosewood Sand Hill, where you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our housekeeping team as a Public Areas Attendant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of public areas, including guest rooms, corridors, and common spaces. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will make a significant impact on our guests' experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in public areas, including guest rooms, corridors, and common spaces.
  • Ensure that all cleaning equipment and supplies are properly stored and maintained.
  • Transport cleaning supplies, amenities, and linens to assigned areas and position them securely.
  • Service assigned public areas and offices, following all standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Empty trash containers and ashtrays, and replace them with clean liners.
  • Remove all dirty terry and replace with clean towels to designated layouts.
  • Remove soil, dirt, soap build-up, and hair from bathroom mirrors, vanities, sinks, toilets, shower walls, bathtubs, shower doors, and floors.
  • Replace facial, toilet tissue, and bathroom amenities in correct amounts and locations.
  • Check BEO/sheets for banquets and events.
  • Dust and polish all furniture.
  • Realign furniture to floor plans.
  • Pick up trash from pathways.
  • Remove all dust, debris, and foreign particles from upholstered furniture, including crevices and under cushions.
  • Dust pictures, frames, mirrors, and cables.
  • Clean all lamps and light switches, checking for proper working order.
  • Remove dust, spots, and smears from windows, ledges, and frames.
  • Remove dust, grease, and smears from telephones and reposition them properly.
  • Remove dust from drapes and realign them to correct positions.
  • Remove trash, debris, and cobwebs from Lanai.
  • Sweep and dust Lanai floors and furniture.
  • Inspect condition of planters and plants, removing debris.
  • Remove dust, dirt, marks, and fingerprints from entrance doors.
  • Ensure presence of fire safety signs, inspecting their condition.
  • Remove dust, dirt, and smudges from A/C units, vents, grids, and thermostats.
  • Remove dust, stains, and marks from all baseboards, ledges, and corners.
  • Vacuum floors as necessary.
  • Mop bathroom and floors as necessary.
  • Update status of areas clean and completed on Knowcross.
  • Return and restock cart at end of shift.
  • Empty vacuum bag and wipe vacuum clean.
  • Ensure security of any assigned keys.
  • Handle guest complaints by following the EGG step procedure and ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Report any damages or maintenance problems to the Supervisor.
  • Turn over any lost and found items from guest rooms to the Supervisor.
  • Exhibit a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner when dealing with guests and fellow employees.
  • All other duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum one year's experience cleaning hotel guest rooms.
  • High school diploma.
  • Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
  • Prioritize, organize, and follow up on tasks.
  • Clear thinking, remaining calm, and resolving problems using good judgment.
  • Follow directions thoroughly.
  • Understand a guest's service needs.
  • Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
  • Work with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of proper chemical handling procedures.
  • Familiarity with cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Knowledge on the use of Knowcross.
Language:
  • Required to speak, read, and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to exert physical effort in transporting 80 pounds.
  • Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas.
  • Reach up and down.
  • Remain stationary at times throughout work periods.
  • Satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding.
Licenses & Certifications:
  • State Licenses preferred.

The pay scale for this position is between $22.03 and $25.21/hour. This is the pay range for this position that the Hotel reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual rates will be based on a number of factors, such as experience, type of hotel luxury experience, and/or Fine Dining Restaurant Experience.
