Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of biomedical equipment technicians to ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and repaired.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the management of biomedical equipment, including inventory control, maintenance schedules, and repair protocols.
  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure that all equipment is properly installed, maintained, and repaired.
  • Provide technical direction and guidance to biomedical equipment technicians to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Develop and implement training programs for biomedical equipment technicians to ensure that they are up-to-date on the latest technologies and techniques.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure that all biomedical equipment is properly maintained and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the management of biomedical equipment, including inventory control, maintenance schedules, and repair protocols.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all biomedical equipment is properly integrated into the hospital's systems and processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in biomedical equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Strong knowledge of biomedical equipment, analog and digital electronics, and pertinent safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Biomedical Electronics or Electronics Program with minimum 7 year experience in electronics maintenance or medical equipment in a healthcare environment.
  • CBET certification.
