Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient histories and physical exams to identify normal and abnormal findings.
  • Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests to inform treatment plans.
  • Develop and implement pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical treatment plans to meet patient needs.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Provide patient education on conditions and treatment plans to promote informed decision-making.
  • Perform procedures as trained and privileged to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Document patient information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and complete other necessary documents.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Diploma from an accredited school of nursing or physician assistant program.
  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of Georgia.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Valid RN and ARNP license (Nurse Practitioner) or valid license (Physician Assistant).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an interactive clinical care setting as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.

Work Environment: Our clinic is a dynamic and supportive environment that values teamwork and patient-centered care. As a Pulmonology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, you will work in a combination of office, exam rooms, and classrooms, and may be exposed to communicable diseases and other conditions common to a clinic setting.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This role requires varied activities, including sitting, walking, reaching, bending, and lifting. You must be able to stand for two to four hours during educational sessions and occasionally carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds. Low-level stress is expected.
