Manufacturing Engineer Role

DAC Engineered Products LLC is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to oversee the development and implementation of cost-effective manufacturing processes. This role requires strong collaboration with engineering departments, programming, equipment, quality, maintenance, and production personnel to ensure seamless production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and promote a safe and clean work environment.
  • Provide manufacturing process support and problem resolution, with a focus on long-term solutions.
  • Perform product/process analysis to promote continuous improvement, cycle time reduction, and cost savings projects.
  • Develop and maintain accurate work instructions to ensure repeatable manufacturing processes.
  • Assist in training production employees to ensure repeatable manufacturing processes.
  • Work with the quality department to implement production control and proactive SPC.
  • Collaborate with maintenance to ensure proper operation of manufacturing equipment.
  • Identify, research, and design new processes, technologies, and manufacturing equipment to improve process flow, increase capacity, and improve quality.
  • Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new/revised products, establishing goals, training team members, and evaluating results.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed layouts of buildings and equipment.
  • Support company policies, procedures, goals, objectives, and good manufacturing practices.
  • Assist in the analysis of non-conforming products and identify rework processes.

Requirements:

  • Four-year degree and/or relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Practical understanding and proficiency in engineering drawing interpretation, including GD&T requirements.
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision after initial training, demonstrating initiative and self-motivation.
  • Excellent organizational skills, technical capacity, and problem-solving/analysis abilities.
  • Ability to teach and train others in a coach or mentor role.
  • Strong computer skills, including various engineering software and Microsoft Office Suite.
