Job Title: Precision Assembler Specialist

Marathon Staffing is a leading staffing agency with over 30 years of experience in connecting talented individuals with exciting career opportunities. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Precision Assembler Specialist to join our team.

About the Role:
This is a contract, possible temp-to-hire opportunity for a 1st shift Precision Assembler with one of our busy manufacturing clients in Imperial, PA. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing assembly work and documentation, assembling various equipment and tools, and performing test requirements. Additionally, they will disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble during any repair process.

Responsibilities & Requirements:
  • Complete assemblies according to drawings, instructions, and work orders, performing testing when required.
  • Demonstrate an advanced understanding of inspection equipment, their functions, and uses to ensure that all parts and assemblies are within specifications.
  • Ensure all parts and components are clean prior to assembly and that assemblies are completed properly, following all assembly procedures.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal safety equipment.
  • Operate various precision measuring tools, including micrometers, vernier, and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines), in a warehouse environment, as well as hand tools, such as hydraulic torque wrenches and fire torches.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues within assembly.
  • Have a sharp eye for detail and a results-oriented approach.
  • Capable of calculating basic mathematical functions, including computation of rate, ratio, and percent, and converting one type of measurement into another.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) activities as needed and comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as blueprints and technical drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and communicate clearly to peers, supervisors, and customers.
  • Show a customer-service mindset for on-time delivery and quality workmanship.
  • Basic computer aptitude to use/learn data entry systems and Microsoft Office Package.
  • Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as required on short notice.
  • Demonstrate behavior that promotes team building and continuous improvement.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and safely lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Experience / Skills:
  • HS Diploma/GED and 3-5 years relevant experience
  • Workshop experience
  • Knowledge of automation control and electrical components
  • Experience as a mechanic for rotating machines, mechanical devices, or as a general mechanic

Salary & Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $22.00 per hour. Great benefits are available upon full-time hire, including Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance. Agency benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance. Schedule: 1st Shift hours from 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with some Saturdays requested or required.
