Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Substation Design Engineer Intern to join our team. As a Substation Design Engineer Intern, you will assist in the design and development of power substations, including structural and foundation design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design and development of power substations, including structural and foundation design.
  • Prepare design packages and develop, prepare, and modify substation drawings, including A/C diagrams, D/C schematics, and logic and functional diagrams.
  • Perform simple calculations and participate in field reviews.
  • Assist in the preparation of design packages and perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Possess basic Microsoft Office skills and an attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prefer 2 years completed towards engineering degree with a 3.0+ GPA.
  • Courses in Power/Energy a plus.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry.
  • Experience with computer-aided design programs (AutoCAD, Microstation, etc.) is desired but not required for consideration.
