Job Title: Registered Nurse - Medical Unit

HCA Capital Division is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Unit team at Reston Hospital Center in Virginia. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Medical Unit, collaborating with medical providers and the care team to ensure personalized and compassionate care. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient condition during admission and each scheduled shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, ensuring thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record.
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitor patient response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding.
Requirements:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse licensure.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • At least 6 months of medical/surgical experience.
