POSITION TITLE: Talent Sourcing Specialist
DIVISION: Adult Services
DEPARTMENT: Reentry Services
REPORTS TO: Lead Employment/Retention Specialist
STATUS: Non-Exempt/Hourly
CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time Regular
POSITION SUMMARY: The Talent Sourcing Specialist is tasked with identifying and evaluating candidates for job openings in alignment with the specifications set forth by the Business Services team. This role involves close collaboration with Career Coaches to effectively match qualified individuals with suitable employment opportunities. Additionally, the Specialist will assist the team in recognizing transitional employment partners and aligning participants with Temporary Work Experiences (TWE).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Engage with Business Services and Employment Specialist teams to foster relationships with employers, thereby creating job opportunities for job seekers.
- Gather and manage employer agreements to establish Temporary Work Experience Host Sites.
- Build and nurture employer relationships while promoting the program to local businesses seeking permanent and TWE candidates.
- Coordinate with Career Coaches to identify job matches, manage referral processes, and explore TWE opportunities.
- Promote job openings to job seekers through personalized meetings and the organization of recruitment events.
- Evaluate candidates for job interviews and provide appropriate referrals to employers.
- Conduct follow-up communications and site visits with job seekers and employers to assess employment status and satisfaction with services.
- Guide candidates in interview preparation and conduct practice interviews.
- Organize monthly Job Club sessions to support groups of participants in their job search efforts.
- Achieve monthly placement targets and compile reports to track activities and outcomes.
- Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from job seekers and employer clients.
- Maintain and update the database of job development leads and case notes as required.
- Conduct monthly follow-ups for all participants post-hiring to ensure job retention.
- Stay informed about economic and employment trends as well as emerging career opportunities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in workforce development programs.
- Two to three years of experience in recruitment, sales, job development, or account management.
- Proven success in achieving goals within a high-volume sales environment is preferred.
- Ability to excel in a performance-driven business context and consistently meet objectives.
- In-depth understanding of the unique challenges faced by justice-involved residents.
- Experience presenting to large groups effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with Human-Centered Design principles, including Motivational Interviewing.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Strong organizational capabilities.
- Exceptional sales acumen with a proven track record of generating leads and closing deals.
- Critical and creative thinking abilities.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-oriented environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM applications, and online sourcing tools.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and willingness to work a flexible schedule.
- Bilingual skills (Spanish and/or Arabic) are advantageous but not mandatory.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Regular activities include seeing, talking, and hearing. The employee may frequently stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and must have sufficient dexterity to operate office equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position operates in a standard office environment with moderate noise levels. The role routinely utilizes standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
