About the Role

Navy Federal Credit Union is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Summer Associate to join our Internal Audit team. As a Summer Associate, you will have the opportunity to work on impactful projects and gain valuable experience in risk management, audit, and enterprise governance.

Responsibilities
  • Apply data analysis, dashboarding, and reporting skills to provide actionable insights to management and executive leadership.
  • Develop dashboards and other visual aids to communicate insights and actionable intelligence to management.
  • Document and maintain project plans and other supporting documentation for analytic work products.
  • Support Technology & Analytics personnel in the acquisition, cleaning, and transformation of data sets in preparation for additional analysis.
  • Assist with the creation of reports to communicate observations and recommendations to the rest of the department.
  • Maintain the highest level of customer support through proactive identification and support of implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate system and technical concerns to management, ensuring current information is shared in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with others throughout your internship, including with other Summer Associates.
Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Data Analytics, Statistics, Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Python, and SQL.
  • Effective research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in following, interpreting, and applying relevant data/instructions to guidelines, procedures, practices, and regulations.
  • Interest in risk management, audit, and/or enterprise governance.
