Academic Support and Mentoring Program Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supplemental Instruction Associate Adjunct to join our team at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. This is a part-time position that requires a strong background in academic support and mentoring.
Key Responsibilities- Train and provide consultation with higher education professionals from the U.S. and around the world in Supplemental Instruction online.
- Organize and facilitate events as requested.
To be considered for this position, you must have a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired. Completion of the Advanced SI Supervisor training conducted by the International Center for Supplemental Instruction and at least 2-years' experience working in SI program leadership at a higher education institution are also required.
Preferred Qualifications- Master's degree or higher in Education, Psychology, Higher Education, or other related fields.
- Working knowledge of student development/learning theory.
- Experience developing and managing academic support programs such as tutoring, writing assistance, and/or developmental reading.
- Experience working in higher education.
- Experience conducting training workshops or making presentations.
This position is not eligible for University benefits. However, individuals in non-benefit eligible positions may choose to participate in the Tax Deferred Annuity Plan (403b).
