Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supplemental Instruction Associate Adjunct to join our team at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. This is a part-time position that requires a strong background in academic support and mentoring.

Key Responsibilities
  • Train and provide consultation with higher education professionals from the U.S. and around the world in Supplemental Instruction online.
  • Organize and facilitate events as requested.
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must have a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired. Completion of the Advanced SI Supervisor training conducted by the International Center for Supplemental Instruction and at least 2-years' experience working in SI program leadership at a higher education institution are also required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or higher in Education, Psychology, Higher Education, or other related fields.
  • Working knowledge of student development/learning theory.
  • Experience developing and managing academic support programs such as tutoring, writing assistance, and/or developmental reading.
  • Experience working in higher education.
  • Experience conducting training workshops or making presentations.
