Job Description:

The Early Education Infant/Toddler Professional is responsible for creating a warm and stimulating learning environment that promotes curiosity, exploration, and play-based learning. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with children and a strong understanding of Developmentally Appropriate Practices. The position requires a minimum of 12 college-level units in Early Childhood Education and the ability to work effectively with families from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and supportive learning environment that reflects children's learning and growth.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment that promotes physical, social-emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Plan and implement a nutritious snack program that promotes healthy eating practices.
  • Design and maintain a classroom environment that fosters creativity, problem-solving, and positive social relationships.
  • Support physical, social-emotional, and cognitive learning by conducting regular observations, developing lesson plans, and utilizing Reggio-Emilia philosophy and play-based learning.
  • Create positive and meaningful relationships with families through communication, documentation, and collaboration.
  • Uphold a commitment to professionalism by implementing knowledge of Developmentally Appropriate Practices, promoting center philosophy and educational objectives, and engaging in ongoing staff development.
  • Ensure a well-run and purposeful program by maintaining knowledge of current licensing regulations, providing functional training and guidance, and assessing program supplies and materials needed.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working with children.
  • Minimum of 12 college-level units in Early Childhood Education.
  • Ability to work effectively with families from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong understanding of Developmentally Appropriate Practices.
  • Physical ability to perform the job of an Early Childhood Educator (able to lift children and/or equipment up to 40lbs).
