Role Summary

The Adjunct Clinical Educator in the Center for Clinical Learning plays a vital role in delivering on-campus clinical education experiences within the School of Nursing. This position is designed for individuals who will collaborate with faculty to facilitate skills labs, simulation activities, and promote active learning methodologies for nursing students across various academic levels.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Apply effective teaching practices in nursing education, utilizing active learning techniques in alignment with institutional policies and standards.

2. Partner with faculty to develop and implement clinical learning strategies that support student achievement of program objectives.

3. Assess and evaluate students' clinical competencies within the Center for Clinical Learning.

4. Organize, conduct, and dismantle scheduled clinical learning sessions.

5. Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure the proper management of supplies and equipment within the Center.

6. Adhere to compliance standards as outlined in the institution's Corporate Compliance Policy and Code of Conduct.

7. Undertake additional duties as assigned.

Position Type: Per Diem

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

- Master of Science in Nursing or Nursing Education

- Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with simulation and active learning techniques in nursing education

- Background in the evaluation and analysis of academic outcomes

- Extensive experience in nursing or a related clinical field

- Doctoral degree in nursing or a related discipline

- Certification as a Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE)

Licenses/Certifications:

- Valid Nursing License in New Jersey

Essential Skills and Abilities:

Proficiency in utilizing educational equipment and understanding the physical demands of the clinical learning environment.
