Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Counselor Supervisor to join our team at BayMark Health Services. As a Counselor Supervisor, you will play a critical role in overseeing the delivery of high-quality treatment services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of counselors and counselor interns to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, as well as BayMark policies and procedures.
  • Conduct individual counseling sessions and coordinate care for assigned patients, presenting patient status and concerns with the treatment team as needed.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive patient treatment plans in accordance with State regulatory requirements.
  • Provide clinical services, patient care, and education, including opiate addiction counseling services to patients receiving methadone maintenance and detoxification treatment.
Requirements
  • Masters Degree in a human service field and 2 years of clinical experience, including 1 year of working directly with chemically dependent individuals.
  • Bachelors degree in a related field and 3 years of clinical experience, including 1 year of working with chemically dependent individuals.
  • Certification and/or licensure by an appropriate state body and 3 years of clinical experience, including 1 year of working with chemically dependent individuals.
  • Graduate of a substance abuse certification program.
  • Certified or licensed with an approved certifying body.
  • Experience working with a substance abuse population.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Skilled in conducting assessments, utilizing ASI criteria for patient placement, treatment plan development and implementation, service coordination, and crisis intervention.
  • Excellent documentation and computer skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a medical hierarchy, assist in complex problem solving with clients, and work autonomously.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Ability to work with a diverse population and exhibit excellent customer service skills.
  • Satisfactory criminal background and drug screen.
