ABOUT iPARAMETRICS:
Established in 2003, iParametrics is at the forefront of delivering cutting-edge solutions in engineering, construction, emergency management, security, and data analytics for both commercial and public sector clients.
As a key subcontractor to Bechtel, we are integral to the U.S. Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program, a vital initiative of the U.S. Air Force aimed at modernizing the nation's aging inter-continental ballistic missile (ICBM) capabilities. This program is crucial for sustaining the ground element of the U.S. nuclear deterrent.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will be instrumental in supporting the project engineering team to ensure inter-discipline coordination and the quality of deliverables for a Department of Defense (DOD)/U.S. Air Force project, specifically the USAF Sentinel (GBSD) program during its Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase.
This role emphasizes the maintenance of project engineering protocols and active participation in the project's quality and corrective action initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Execute engineering design tasks within a discipline, managing projects of varying complexity.
2. Review and validate designs, drawings, and data produced by other engineers or suppliers to ensure precision and quality.
3. Oversee the assessment of multi-discipline engineering deliverables, ensuring cohesion, coordination, and compliance with quality standards.
4. Coordinate quality assessments of deliverable packages prior to submission to the client, ensuring all standards are satisfied.
5. Collect inputs and technical information from senior engineers across multiple disciplines to effectively complete assigned tasks.
6. Develop and uphold project engineering protocols, aligning with Bechtel NS&E GBU, corporate procedures, contract stipulations, and applicable codes and standards.
7. Conduct self-assessments within the engineering department to guarantee adherence to established protocols.
8. Create and deliver training on procedures, policies, and instructions to engineering personnel.
9. Identify, prepare, and report on project engineering quality metrics and trends, presenting these reports to Bechtel management and client personnel.
10. Participate in project quality evaluations and audits, coordinating Closed-Loop Corrective Action (CLCA) program initiatives with project engineering teams.
11. Attend Condition Report Review Committee (CRRC) meetings as the engineering representative.
12. Promote the Condition Reporting and Lessons Learned programs through applications like DevonWay or similar.
13. Monitor the timely resolution of engineering condition reports and associated actions, providing feedback and lessons learned to the engineering team.
14. Collaborate with engineering disciplines to plan and execute work as an integrated team, ensuring alignment and quality.
15. Coordinate with client representatives as necessary, maintaining effective communication and project alignment.
16. Lead small engineering task groups when required, driving team performance and task completion.
17. Analyze engineering processes to identify areas for enhancement and implement solutions.
18. Maintain configuration management and ensure changes to processes are communicated clearly to relevant engineers.
19. Work collaboratively to develop and optimize processes and procedures, meeting customer needs and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field from an accredited institution and 9 years of relevant experience, or 15 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
2. Proven leadership experience or education.
3. U.S. Citizenship is required.
4. Must be able to obtain a DoD Security Clearance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Prior experience in engineering for construction projects.
2. Familiarity with quality assurance programs, such as ISO-9001.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4. Strong organizational skills.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 application suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Experience in procedure and/or instruction preparation.
2. Familiarity with configuration management codes and standards for DOD, specifically EIA.
3. Experience working with government agencies, preferably the Department of Defense (DoD).
4. Knowledge of Bechtel Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), Engineering Department Procedure Instructions (EDPIs), design standards and guides, and Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs).
5. Experience in development and presentation of training material.
6. Prior supervisory experience requiring cross-discipline coordination.
7. USACE Construction Quality Management training or USACE Contractor Quality Control experience.
8. Current (not expired) Professional Engineer's License.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft applications Power-BI, Access, and SharePoint.
