The Learning Experience - Horizon West location is seeking a dedicated Nutritional Coordinator who will play a vital role in enhancing the well-being of children through the preparation of healthy meals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and prepare balanced meals that fulfill the nutritional needs of children.
- Maintain a comprehensive record of food allergies for each child, ensuring effective communication with educators regarding any dietary restrictions.
- Follow strict food safety, handling, and sanitation protocols to guarantee the proper storage and preparation of food.
- Collaborate with the Center Leadership team to procure necessary food items and maintain accurate inventory records in compliance with local and state regulations.
- Deliver exceptional service with a positive demeanor, fostering open communication with parents and children.
- Exhibit adaptability to meet the dynamic needs of a childcare environment.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- Minimum of 1 year experience in culinary preparation and cooking
- Valid food handling certification
- Completion of DCF 45 Hours training (Required)
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification (Required)
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. (Required)
- Compliance with all state-specific requirements for the position
