Position Overview:
The Healthcare Customer Service Specialist will warmly and professionally welcome all patients who reach out to the clinic. This is a full-time role operating Monday through Friday, during standard business hours. Evening and weekend shifts may be available for those interested.

Sign-On Bonus:
A $1,500 sign-on bonus will be provided, payable with the first paycheck upon a 12-month commitment.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Greet all patients entering the clinic promptly and courteously.
2. Collect demographic and billing information to ensure accurate and timely billing.
3. Manage patient check-in processes, including photocopying insurance cards and obtaining necessary signatures.
4. Answer phone calls in a timely manner.
5. Review Provider schedules daily to stay informed about days off and scheduling flow.
6. Maintain a general understanding of Medical Records protocols to adhere to confidentiality and legal standards.
7. Actively engage in and contribute to a patient-centered healthcare environment.
8. Perform any additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel is essential.
- Previous customer service experience is mandatory.
- Administrative or Medical Office experience is preferred.

Skills Required:
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines.
- Complete all required training for the position.
- Comply with relevant laws and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, Stark, OSHA, etc.).
- Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work efficiently in a clinic setting during business hours.
- Physical capability to travel within the clinic, which may involve moving between floors and frequent bending, lifting, and standing.
- Maintain a productive pace while managing interruptions and meeting deadlines.
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with patients and team members.
- Prioritize tasks effectively while adapting to daily operational needs.
- Apply logical reasoning to identify problems and develop solutions.
- Understand and follow various instructions accurately.
- Operate equipment and manage phone systems effectively.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Travel to other locations as necessary.
